It started with eight tables and a grandmother's recipe book. The rest is dinner.
Rosolio opened in 1998 when Nonna Lucia Marchetti brought her Calabrian recipes to a little corner room on Vittoria Lane β eight tables, one wood oven, and a handwritten menu that changed with whatever the market had that morning.
Word travelled, as it does with good food. The eight tables became twenty. Lucia's children took over the kitchen, then her grandchildren. The recipes never changed.
"You don't eat at Rosolio, you're fed at Rosolio. There's a difference, and you feel it the moment you sit down."β The Melbourne Table, review
Birthdays, anniversaries, long lunches that become long dinners β our back room seats up to 24, and Nonna's recipes scale beautifully.
